Palumbo Group, with its headquarters in Naples, has been in the ship repair industry since 1967, when Salvatore Palumbo founded it. In 1982, his son Antonio succeeded to his father, and became owner and CEO of the Company. In 1992, following the example of their father, Antonio’s sons, Giuseppe and Raffaele, joined the family business and thanks also to their dynamic approach, the company’s activities have been progressively increased and developed, permitting the exponential growth experienced during these last decades. When the company started, its main activity was represented by carpentry and welding works. In 1980, a solid experience in the sector has encouraged and supported an almost natural evolution of the company that started to expand its core business, focusing largely on the repair and maintenance of vessels’ hulls. Today, the Palumbo Group is one of the leading Companies operating in the refit, conversion, repair and maintenance of every type of vessel. The acquisition of Shipyards located in Messina, Malta and recently Marseille builds a network of facilities in the heart of the Mediterranean. The logistic platform they have created has the technical ability required to satisfy ship owner’s demands in a timely manner, providing a complete range of services.
